Late April of 2011, we were asked by the school to choose a subject of our choice in which we would be working on for around 8 months. We were all aware of this project an some had already chose there ideas and some even had started woking on they're subjects before even submitting it to the school and surprisingly, these were smart people because they had a head start. I hadn't even chose my subject yet, but i wanted it to have something that has to do with photography; so i decided to take photographs of poor people and where they stay to raise awareness and to show people who have no idea whats happening in they're country.
They give us enough time to make this project a masterpiece, but we were given a paper to help us organize our time; we had to do researches first so we can have information on our subject and how we could help make this a better report. In these researches we did not only get information from the internet, but we could have made interviews with professionals or use books. In my case, i made an interview with my uncle because he's one of the best photographers in the country and no, i did not just say that cause he's my uncle. He gave me plenty of tips and i think if my project is successful he should take credit because he played a huge roll in this project. I had also used plenty of books to see poor villages in Cairo i could visit but in the end, i ended up going to this really poor place near Maadi. People were surpassingly very nice to me will i was taking these photographs and others weren't okay with me taking pictures of them and i completely respected that, its there choice.
In the end of the day, i really had fun preparing this huge project and i hope they like it and i would have a good grade on it in order to achieve the PPCS diploma.
